Mission :

The Student Outdoor Leadership (SOL) Experience is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to be tested in mind, body, and spirit in accordance with Delbarton’s vision of learning.  Through this extra-curricular experience we look to foster a global awareness through the spirit of exploration (literal and figurative), to grow our leadership capacity (over self and of others), and to broaden our life experiences.  Through reading, research and writing assignments, team-oriented activities and service-oriented projects, SOL participants will develop a stronger sense of place in the context of small groups and in the world around them to encourage a global perspective in addressing some of the world’s most pressing issues.
